The Durham Youth Alliance, a major program of The Courtney Jordan Group Inc; an Umbrella Corporation devoted to providing solutions to societal needs. The Durham Youth Alliance is an extracurricular youth leadership program that primarily focuses on disadvantage and at-risk youth ages 11-17.
  We unite their talents for the social advancement of the community and provide them mentorship, situated in the heart of Durham, N.C. The Durham Youth Alliance (DYA) is an organization that provides members of diverse backgrounds; with a wide array of interests and talents, a platform to create and be a part of the city’s most visible events. Through DYA, we provide several different workshops that are carefully crafted and molded to meet the social needs of our members, such as our professional development series that prepares our members for employment.
 
Our leadership retreat, that focuses on the development of essential life skills and training needed to compete in our merging global society. As well as our college prep workshops (SAT and ACT) where members are provided with one on one assistance in college selection, applications, as well as help with preparing to take the SAT or ACT.

Our goal is to develop the leaders of tomorrow, who will become the dealers of hope and pillars of the community.  By teaching them leadership skills they will learn to: lead by example, becoming empowered as they discover and practice their passions.
