Workshop and  License Program

DYA offers varies workshops in entrepreneurship and business planning, to certificates in coding and programing to becoming a Licensed CNA. After completion in cooperation with our partners our participants are placed in paying positions. 

After School

The after school programming is broken into several periods. During the first period, students work on homework in a classroom setting with their In-School Coordinator and receive tutorial help as needed. 

Summer Program

DYA's summer program offers daily educational enrichment activities designed to maintain and/or increase student grade level and motivation, with the understanding that children’s scholastic levels often can decrease during the long vacation.

On 18 May 13 DYA hosted a dinner for all its high school graduates. Giving them a chest full of supplies for their new dorm rooms.

 Entrepreneurship Symposium

on 23 Feb 2013 DYA held its 1st Annual Entrepreneurship Symposium, that allowed students to listen, learn, interact and become inspired by the states best and brightest entrepreneurs. Afterwards at the mixer (sponsored by Duplin Winery) DYA received more than $27,000.00 in donations to continue and grow the its Entrepreneurship Program.
